Saxophonist Mitch Paliga’s long awaited first CD showcases both his playing and writing, including a five-movement suite that comprises the bulk of the CD. This music manages at once to be both thoughtful and deeply heartfelt. The quartet includes Mitch on soprano sax mostly with some tenor in there too, Patrick Williams on bass, Ryan Bennett on drums, and yours truly at the piano. |
